The Pass Through system allows the entire cable to be pulled through the connector (the connector must also be Pass Through).
The advantage over traditional connector crimping is that this system allows cables to be pulled through the connector and evenly positioned. After crimping, the crimper cuts off excess wire from the connector. This guarantees a much better and more precise crimping.
