Supplier product description
A limit switch (Endstop) is a component used in 3D printers to stop moving parts of the system - such as carriage or table movements. It also detects when the X, Y or Z axes reach their extreme positions (maximum and minimum setting). A built-in lever increases the distance for braking the mechanism and leaves a possible margin for error. The limiters are a very good safety device which prevents the moving element from exceeding the limit position. Lack of such protection could cause damage to the printer and its environment.
