The Edimax GP-103IT is a Power over Ethernet (PoE) injector that not only delivers a cost-effective solution for power distribution, but also provides a seamless way of deployment on the existing LAN infrastructure. With the use of power injectors, DC power of up to 90W based on the IEEE 802.3bt standard and the data that comes from a non-PoE switch or router are merged together and then transmitted to the remote IEEE 802.3af/at/btcompliant products located without power outlet through the Ethernet cabling. Hence, the easy plug-and-play GP-103IT Gigabit PoE++ injector preserves your investment in hardware upgrade without the need for spending on extra PoE switches and deploying power cables. IEEE 802.3af/at/btPower over Ethernet Standard Because of adding the capability of IEEE 802.3af/at/btPower over Ethernet (PoE) to a non-PoE Ethernet switch or router, the GP-103IT can directly be connected to any IEEE 802.3af/at/btend-nodes such as speed dome IP cameras, , Digital Signage, color touch-screen Voice over IP (VoIP) telephones, multi-channel wireless LAN access points, digital signage, information kiosk, POS system, and thin client where the IEEE 802.3af/at/btin-line PoE port is supported. Cost Efficiency and Easy Installation The Power over Ethernet technology enables the Ethernet wire to carry both data and power. Thus, the GP-103IT reduces the need for cable installation and eliminates the need for extension cords, electrical wall outlets, ceiling or any remote, unreachable place for the PoE enabled devices with easy plug-and play installation.
