The network cable is a half-meter long Extralink Patchcord LAN copper cable. A LAN Patchcord is the basic element of computer networks operating in the Ethernet standard. It is used to directly connect two active devices, such as a router or switch, so that data can be transferred between them. It is also used to connect computers or VoIP telephones for structured cabling and to perform patch panels switching in IT cabinets. It is perfect for both large and small computer networks. Extralink's shielded patchcord is highly flexible, which translates into installation convenience and user comfort.
Unshielded category 5e UTP patchcord from Extralink is terminated with shielded, gold plated RJ45 plugs. It is built of a four-wire cable, twisted pair type, made of pure copper, thanks to which it is possible to power network devices in PoE standard.
