Midland introduces a new, complete line of XT handheld two-way radios operating on the PMR-446 standard. The range includes 5 models and 2 case sets with additional accessories. The line includes budget-friendly options like the Midland X10 and X30, and advanced models such as the Midland X50, X60, and X70. The Midland X50 and X70 Adventure versions are cases containing 2 radios, headsets, chargers, and batteries. All radios feature carefully designed housings, attractive packaging, and, except for the entry-level X10, USB charging. RANGE: Maximum range depends on terrain and is greatest in open, flat areas. Obstacles such as trees, hills, and buildings reduce range. Radio waves propagate poorly inside complex metal structures and inside cars. Average range in a city with buildings and obstacles does not exceed 1-2 km. In sparsely built-up areas with individual trees, the achievable range is 4-6 km. In open spaces without obstacles between antennas, such as in mountains, ranges of 10 km and more are possible.
